DKAY

My name is Igor or DKAY if you know me from my music. I'm a 20-year-old hip hop artist originally from Poland, now based in the UK. Having spent half my life in Poland and the other half in the UK, I've experienced two very different worlds culturally, socially and musically  and that contrast shaped how I see everything.

Through those years, I’ve learned what culture really means, not just as a buzzword or a box to tick, but as something lived, breathed, and constantly evolving. More importantly, I’ve learned what it doesn’t mean. Culture isn’t a fixed identity, a stereotype, or a set of rules. It’s not something you inherit but something you create, remix, question, and push forward. That’s exactly what I try to do with every beat, every verse, and every track I make.

Music, for me, isn’t just sound – it’s a message. I’m not here to lecture you through letters on a screen; I want to make music that gets stuck in your head and stays in your heart. Music that makes you nod, think, rewind, and feel something real.

I guess this site can be taken as an in-your-face showcase of what I've made and experienced up till now, a walk through the art exhibition you were slightly late to but it was fine since they weren't closing anytime soon.
